Guest Review of Celebrity Millennium Cabin

Cabin Score
82
out of 100
reviewed by Kate Z. of Gold Coast, Australia
Cruise Date:2/1/2015
Review Submitted:2/22/2015
Passengers in Cabin:2 Passengers
Past Cruise Experience:2-5 Cruises
Cruise Length:11-20 Days
Overall Room Condition Impressions Spotless. Everything is in top shape and feels very clean
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again? Its Not a Bad Cabin -- I would be open to trying a different cabin, however.
Noise In Cabin A little noise in the cabin -- you didn't notice it if you were not paying attention Whilst at sea, we slept with the verandah door (locked) open a few inches - not enough to upset the air con (which you can't turn off) and that was enough buffer noise of the water outside so you don't hear the adjoining cabin's toilet flush, or people walking past.
Cabin Odor A slight odor, but, you go used to it.
Temperature Control in Cabin The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature We enjoy fresh salt air and liked to open the verandah door however you can't actually switch off the air con - only adjust the temperature (which worked very well), so in humid places (like Singapore) it created drips of water coming from the air con unit (not good). They don't encourage you to open your verandah doors at all.
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 8006 Have you seen what the cruise line charges for WiFi? I can't afford that... (I didn't test it...)
Lighting The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary Annoying that the bedside lamps are actually hard wired in - you can't move them to suit.
Bathroom Condition Spotless. Everything is in top shape and feels very clean
View From The Cabin The view was partially obstructed Celebrity do not advise this is a partially obstructed view until AFTER you've booked and paid full price (Princess give you the option of reduced fare for Partially Obstructed view). Found out 2 days before we sailed - not happy! It's a metal ladder-like unit used for painting that can be rolled along any of the outside cabins. You could see through it - but it's still annoying when you're sitting enjoy canapes and champagne on your verandah.
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Lounging Space Very Good. Chair or a couch with a coffee or side table
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION) It's a handy position to the forward stairs and elevators (approx only 5 cabins along) but you don't hear any of the elevator noise. You can duck up to the gym/spa or downstairs to the theatre easily. During high seas, we found it relatively smooth - only a gentle roll on one night. The staff have an access door opposite, so they're coming and going a fair bit. The beds are narrow - certainly not a standard single size. The storage space was great - every possible area (including the bathroom) had storage, though don't like towels racks directly over the toilet! The much advertised Hans Grohe showerhead was next to useless and took many minutes (and litres of water) each time to adjust and get the temperature correct (even though it's supposed to feature a set 36 degree) - pressure of course is next to none (if you have long hair, pay to have the Hairdresser/salon wash and blow wave it for you!) No noise from Deck 9 above - actually Deck 8 is probably the ideal one to be on - along from the library, so not a busy deck.
DeckPlanGenius Review Authenticity Statement In a perfect world, everybody would be honest and there would be no "fake" reviews -- reviews for compensation, reviews by those with a business connection to the cruise line and even reviews by persons who never cruised in this cabin or on this ship! Use common sense and maintain a degree of skepticism with all reviews that you read.
