Overall Room Condition Impressions
There is a little bit of wear and tear, but, it is in generally good shape
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
Absolutely! It's a great cabin.
Noise In Cabin
No Noise -- Very Quiet Cabin
We booked a guarantee balcony and got this as an upgrade to "Spacious" balcony. We were worried it might be over the kitchens or other noise generating crew space but we heard not a sound from above or below. Waiter told us crew canteen was on deck 5 but we do not know if below us. We had a rattle from the divider to the next balcony but this was fixed immediately we mentioned to the cabin steward.
Cabin Odor
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 6394
Have you seen what the cruise line charges for WiFi? I can't afford that... (I didn't test it...)
Lighting
The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
Bathroom Condition
There is a little bit of wear and tear on the bathroom, but, it didn't feel dirty
View From The Cabin
Amazing view - I loved looking at the view every day
Full view balcony.
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Lounging Space
Excellent. Combination of chair(s), couch and coffee or side table. Everyone could find a seat
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
Ship was just out of dry dock after a major refit. Only difference to the cabin was a new carpet, everything else, whilst well maintained, was ten years old. "Spacious" balcony means we got an extra long sofa (potentially replaced by a bed for more than double occupancy?) and corresponding dressing table area. Looking at cabin specs this could have been taken from the balcony but balcony space was good compared to some more modern ships (e.g. Royal Princess or Britannia). TV was replaced during the trip with a similar size screen. Bathroom good but pretty standard. Small shower but it did have doors not just a curtain. No noise at all and as only four cabins from the stern we looked for engine fumes but no problems. We would happily book this cabin again if we went back to Indy.
DeckPlanGenius Review Authenticity Statement
In a perfect world, everybody would be honest and there would be no "fake" reviews -- reviews for compensation, reviews by those with a business connection to the cruise line and even reviews by persons who never cruised in this cabin or on this ship! Use common sense and maintain a degree of skepticism with all reviews that you read.
