Overall Room Condition Impressions
There is a little bit of wear and tear, but, it is in generally good shape
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
Its Not a Bad Cabin -- I would be open to trying a different cabin, however.
Noise In Cabin
You could hear a good deal of noise, it was mostly tolerable
This cabin isn't under the theater, it's under the outdoor deck where people can walk. The inside cabins are under the theater. The problem with this cabin is that the deck above ends right over the cabin with a metal gate that only maintenance people would go through. That problem is that when they open and close that gate you hear it. A loud metal sound. Then, the fact that they move/roll things through, means you hear that above you also. They like to do this around 6am. No hallway noise.
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 4007
Have you seen what the cruise line charges for WiFi? I can't afford that... (I didn't test it...)
The lighting is exceptional - the cabin was very thoughfully lit.
There is a little bit of wear and tear on the bathroom, but, it didn't feel dirty
View From The Cabin
Very good view
Two large windows looking out. They are over the head of the bed.
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Very good. I was able to find a place for most things in the drawers and closet. I did have to use my suitcase to store some things
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Very Good. Chair or a couch with a coffee or side table
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
Biggest thing to know is that the entrance to the maintenance storage is right above the bed. When they use it, you hear them walking above you, rolling things, and opening/closing the metal gate. If they use the anchor, you do hear it. We only anchored in Santorini and we were up before they dropped anchor, but heard it when they pulled it up. When it docks, there are large ropes extended to the docks to tie up the boat. They are kept on large spindles that let out the rope or pull it in. When they do that, it sounds like a jet engine firing up. Not loud, but you hear it. It's convenient to the front elevators, but I'd say the ship is small enough that no room is far from anything. Something to think about on an Oasis class ship, but not this one.
DeckPlanGenius Review Authenticity Statement
In a perfect world, everybody would be honest and there would be no "fake" reviews -- reviews for compensation, reviews by those with a business connection to the cruise line and even reviews by persons who never cruised in this cabin or on this ship! Use common sense and maintain a degree of skepticism with all reviews that you read.
