Overall Room Condition Impressions
The cabin is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
No way. I was counting the days until we could leave this cabin.
Noise In Cabin
The cabin was so noisy that I would never book this cabin again
As the pool deck was directly above, we could hear a lot of noise- especially at night (deck chairs/sun lounges being moved and scraped along the pool deck). As we were not in the cabin much during the day, this never bothered us... but we were awakened nearly every night around 1am with the noise above us.
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were good, but, you would have to regularly change them to maintain the appropriate temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 8020
Have you seen what the cruise line charges for WiFi? I can't afford that... (I didn't test it...)
The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
The bathroom is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean
View From The Cabin
Amazing view - I loved looking at the view every day
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
My cabin size was effectively a closet to begin with - so there was hardly any storage space
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Only place to sit is the beds. There is no room in this cabin for anything else
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
I have to admit that I was quite disappointed with the size of the cabin immediately upon opening door. We always travel in Junior Suites on Royal Caribbean ships and this has to be one of the smallest I have known. The supposed walk in robe, was certainly not a walk in robe. No bathrobes in this one like we have had in our other Junior Suites. No room to store our luggage as we put 2 under the beds, but they stuck out and we kicked our toes on them constantly. The other bags and suitcase got piled up on top of the 2 arm chairs that were there. So this meant that we could not use the arm chairs. One of my daughters slept on the sofa bed and even though I had requested that it be folded up during the day, it was never, ever folded up. As the balcony door was right in front on her bed, it meant we had to climb on her bed to get onto the balcony and of course, this was the same at night. The curtains were basically falling apart and coming of the railing. Not good. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. I have always and I means always loved Royal Caribbeans beds as I have slept like a log every single night. Not so on this ship. My hips, shoulders and back hurt every night while trying to get some sleep and yet amazingly stopped the moment I got off the ship and slept in a hotel bed for the night. All pain gone, so I know for a fact it was the bed and numerous people on the ship were also saying how uncomfortable their beds were. As for the furniture, well let's just say you could not open the drawer very far on the desk as it was falling apart and the base was coming away, leaving a gapping hole at the back for everything to fall through. While I really enjoyed my cruise on Legend of the Seas, I certainly wouldn't recommend her cabins.
