Overall Room Condition Impressions
There is a little bit of wear and tear, but, it is in generally good shape
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
Its Not a Bad Cabin -- I would be open to trying a different cabin, however.
Noise In Cabin
You could hear a good deal of noise, it was mostly tolerable
Throughout the evening hours, we would periodically hear a loud, cascading bang. Our best guess was that we were hearing an ice machine. We would also hear what we think may have been toilets flushing from the floor above us, coming from all different directions. Fortunately we packed ear plugs, so after the first night it was smooth sailing. Be sure to do the same!
Cabin Odor
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were good, but, you would have to regularly change them to maintain the appropriate temperature
The cabin could have used some sort of circulation. The temperature was entirely manageable; It would've been nice to be able to have some sort of a breeze, especially in the evening after a long day in the sun.
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 8413
Have you seen what the cruise line charges for WiFi? I can't afford that... (I didn't test it...)
Lighting
The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
The night time lighting in the bathroom was perfect! It felt like twilight, which was especially welcome given that it was an interior cabin. There's room for improvement during the daytime, as the interior cabin gives no indication of the time of day. Dimmable lights would be ideal.
Bathroom Condition
There is a little bit of wear and tear on the bathroom, but, it didn't feel dirty
View From The Cabin
What view? I was in an inside cabin
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Very good. I was able to find a place for most things in the drawers and closet. I did have to use my suitcase to store some things
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Lounging Space
Excellent. Combination of chair(s), couch and coffee or side table. Everyone could find a seat
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
Be sure to pack earplugs for this cabin and its adjacent, connecting cabin (8415). Disruptive noise overnight, but it is entirely manageable with a little bit of planning. Very little noise from the hallway or from people in general. We also had the benefit of having an excellent stateroom attendant, so all was well.
DeckPlanGenius Review Authenticity Statement
In a perfect world, everybody would be honest and there would be no "fake" reviews -- reviews for compensation, reviews by those with a business connection to the cruise line and even reviews by persons who never cruised in this cabin or on this ship! Use common sense and maintain a degree of skepticism with all reviews that you read.
