Past Cruise Experience:My First Cruise
Overall Room Condition Impressions
There is a little bit of wear and tear, but, it is in generally good shape
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
Absolutely! It's a great cabin.
Noise In Cabin
A little noise in the cabin -- you didn't notice it if you were not paying attention
The only issue we had was the kids club (15 - 17 year old) O2 was located on the same floor about 30m away. There was no noise from there, but occasionally late at night kids would run past or chase each other along the corridor. More noticeable as the trip progressed.
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 5107
I'm on vacation -- the last thing I want to do is connect to WiFi. (I didn't test it…)
The lighting is exceptional - the cabin was very thoughfully lit.
Plenty of little bed side lights, plus a room light and a bathroom light.
Spotless. Everything is in top shape and feels very clean
View From The Cabin
Amazing view - I loved looking at the view every day
We had an extended balcony where two people, or three if there were more chairs, could easily recline on the verandah. It was great as we could throw our swimmers out there and all dry overnight or through the day.
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Good. Appropriately sized, flat-panel TV and Ipod dock
Very Good. Chair or a couch with a coffee or side table
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
There were 4 of us in the cabin...two adults and two kids...(but older kids)...But as this was our first cruise, we didn't know what to expect with our room, and its size. If it was available, we would have booked a bigger room, or a room with an internal door (two rooms, side by side). But that was not an option when we booked. We did move a coffee table out onto the verandah on the first night, but our room staff brought it back in the following morning... The extended verandah was fantastic... and great for an escape. The bottom bunk bed was always a bed and never folded up as a couch. The beds were extremely comfortable, as was the bedding, and although trivial the pillows were probably a little too thick... In one of the previous questions I was asked about an ipod dock. To be honest I didn't see one, but wasn't given an option for that answer. Bathroom was cosy, but served its purpose... with plenty of storage space in there for toiletries etc. Our room was ideally located close to lifts and stairs, and closer to the front of the ship than the aft. A great level... When I book again, I would be very happy to stay on Level 5, as it was very central to everything. Maybe mid ship may have been even better again, but who cares. ENJOY it as much as we did!
