Overall Room Condition Impressions
Spotless. Everything is in top shape and feels very clean
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
Absolutely! It's a great cabin.
Noise In Cabin
No Noise -- Very Quiet Cabin
The first day we heard the folks in the room next door while we ere still in port, (there is a connecting door between our room and the next cabin forward), but the rest of the trip no noise whatsoever. The low hum of the engines drowns most of the noise anyway.
Cabin Odor
No noticable Odors
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 8201
I'm on vacation -- the last thing I want to do is connect to WiFi. (I didn't test it…)
Lighting
The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
Bathroom Condition
The bathroom is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean
View From The Cabin
Very good view
We had a few meals on our balcony, and that was really nice
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Very good. I was able to find a place for most things in the drawers and closet. I did have to use my suitcase to store some things
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Good. Appropriately sized, flat-panel TV and Ipod dock
Lounging Space
Excellent. Combination of chair(s), couch and coffee or side table. Everyone could find a seat
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
The cabin is just a few rooms behind the bridge, so during docking you can actually see the officers doing stuff inside. Adds an interesting dimension to the experience. Sadly I got violently ill during our trip and the ship doc placed me in a 1-day quarantine. I initially blamed some iffy-looking food I ate in Cozumel (in spite of better judgement). But in all reality, considering all the places I ate over the previous day or two, it could have been anything. I ended up spending that day in our room, sleeping and sipping on bottled water. When I finally started to feel better, being able to get out onto the balcony and get some wind in my face came in handy. One thing I should point out - compared to the rooms on decks below (the ones with no balconies), our room was noticeably smaller. I think it's due to the way ship was built - it appears as if all the rooms on a given vertical are taking up the same area, so the addition of a balcony means there is less room for the suite itself. There was literally no empty space between the restroom wall and the outside wall - the couch, night tables and the bed are butt-up against one another (picture posted at http://i.imgur.com/KzoWeL8.png )
