There is a little bit of wear and tear, but, it is in generally good shape
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
No way. I was counting the days until we could leave this cabin.
Noise In Cabin
The cabin was so noisy that I would never book this cabin again
Apparently this cabin is right above the engine because we heard the whir of the engine every night that we cruised. At times there was some type of rattling or scrubbing noise along with the engine noise as well.
Cabin Odor
A slight odor, but, you go used to it.
The bathroom had a slight odor, but I did not complain about it. Also the area right on the side of the bed was soaking wet and they had to put the blower on it for two days before it dried out while we were out of the room.
Temperature Control in Cabin
The temperature controls were VERY effective and you could easily maintain temperature
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin R173
I'm on vacation -- the last thing I want to do is connect to WiFi. (I didn't test it…)
Lighting
The lighting is exceptional - the cabin was very thoughfully lit.
Bathroom Condition
Spotless. Everything is in top shape and feels very clean
View From The Cabin
Very good view
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Good. Appropriately sized, flat-panel TV and Ipod dock
Lounging Space
Excellent. Combination of chair(s), couch and coffee or side table. Everyone could find a seat
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
I love Carnival Cruises and we booked this family and friend cruise through a travel agent who was a friend of my daughter's who also went on this cruise. I booked my other three cruises myself and chose my room which was always on the Empress deck. I was not able to select my room on this cruise and would never had booked it on the Riviera. In the future I will make sure that I get to choose my deck. Other than that, I enjoyed the cruise.
