Overall Room Condition Impressions
The cabin is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean
Would You Book This Same Cabin Again?
No way. I was counting the days until we could leave this cabin.
Noise In Cabin
You could hear a good deal of noise, it was mostly tolerable
A/C faulty and on all the time making a lot of noise. Underneath the Promenade Deck- so there was noise from people walking.
A strong Odor - slightly annoying.
At different times, we had the smell of fumes and also smell of damp coming through a/c.
Temperature Control in Cabin
Why did they even bother putting a thermostat in the cabin -- it didn't work
Hopelees a/c... blasted out noisily the whole time, but failed to get the temperature below 22C- which was a bit hot for sleeping
WiFi Signal Strength in Cabin 2692
I'm on vacation -- the last thing I want to do is connect to WiFi. (I didn't test it…)
The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
The bathroom is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean
View From The Cabin
Very good view
View straight out to sea but at a low level...
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock
Excellent. Combination of chair(s), couch and coffee or side table. Everyone could find a seat
Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
We moved to this cabin from 3390, which was under the galley. On arrival, the bathroom was flooded and toilet blocked. We immediately commented on how hot it was and that the a/c was very loud and blasting out air. We were told this was normal as it was not a full a/c system but air blown along and some cabins had lots of air coming in whereas the ones at the end of the line had very little. Didn't notice the noise of people walking on the Promenade for the first couple of days as we were in port early and people had disembarked. As soon as we had sea days, we could hear people quite early in the morning walking above us. Combined with the noisy a/c and high temperatures, we did not sleep well and after 2 weeks asked to be moved. Read cabin 6226 for our next calamity. No wonder people were nicknaming it the Rotten Dam... it really is well past its best before date and needs lots of work on a/c, leaks that spring up in the corridors and cabins and other issues.
