The cabin is beginning to look "tired". But, it still appeared to be clean

No way. I was counting the days until we could leave this cabin.
Noise In Cabin
The cabin was so noisy that I would never book this cabin again
This cabin is directly underneath the galley so you get noise all the time. Trolleys trundling along and drawers being opened and closed even through the night
A slight odor, but, you go used to it.
Damp smell throughout much of the ship due to leaks

Why did they even bother putting a thermostat in the cabin -- it didn't work

The lighting was good -- nothing extraordinary
There is a little bit of wear and tear on the bathroom, but, it didn't feel dirty
View From The Cabin
The view was partially obstructed
You look out onto the section of the Promenade Deck that has a solid balustrade- so no view other than people walking past and a bit of sea above..
Drawers, Clothes and Luggage Storage
Excellent. I was able to find a place for everything in the drawers and closet. I didn't have to leave anything in my suitcase
Technology, Comfort & Convenience
Needs serious improvement. Undersized flat panel TV and no iPod dock

This is the third time we have been given a cabin below the galley on HAL ships. Although we opt to book a guaranteed outside cabin, the ones under the galley should really only be sold at a reduce price with a warning in my opinion. Unless you are hard of hearing or a heavy sleeper, avoid this at all costs. We complained after the first night and then looked up on the computer and saw that it was known that this cabin had problems. Luckily, the ship was not full and we got moved - twice more due to further problems. Read cabin 2690 for our next round of problems...
