Your Comments & Observations (OPTIONAL QUESTION)
As I have had hip replacement and Artritic knee problem which makes using steps or stairs a painful proceedure my husband sugested we chose to try a disabled cabin. It was very convenient for the lift as was mid ship so went to all decks very quickly.Very convenient for wheel chair person as wide automatic door to enter and larger than standard inside cabins. The shower was also a wet room idear so again very convenient for entering as no step to get into the area. Now to the down side. As soon as we entered we saw a stone pole standing from floor to ceilingas you had to go to get into one side of the bed.The other side did have an pull bar to help one to get out but with my hip trouble I cannot get into the bed that side so the pole was a big issue as when one has to get out in the night to go to the toilet a couple of times the pole was very dangerous as I always had to be aware to put a light had to be put on if not I could have had a nasty accident. The next thing was the plug points to use for the hair dryer, the ipad or any other electic items. They were under the dressing table and no way could I use them as canot kneel down which luckily ny Husband was able to do whith some difficulty. Also the drawers were positioned low and quite deep.In the ensuite there was no cabinate to put toiletries and the one shelf was very narrow so not much could be put on that I had to put toiletries etc out in the cabin which was frustrating. We had to have the toilet cistem often unblocked and hot water was often yellow when first used. The cold water never was cold but warm. We have cruised with Azamara 3 times and never had these problems so it maybe the ship is getting old. We have another cruise booked on the Azamara Quest sister ship to the Azamara Journey for Sept 2016 so hope we are not as dissapointed with the Disabled cabin we have booked which is on Deck 6 and a balcony one this time, if so we will not book with Azamara again.
